Ask us

The basics

What is DVT, and why prevention matters

DVT stands for deep vein thrombosis — a blood clot that forms in a deep vein, usually in the leg, when a person stays still for a long time, such as during and after surgery.

If part of that clot breaks loose and travels to the lungs, it becomes a pulmonary embolism, which can be fatal. Compression devices keep blood moving in the legs, lowering that risk — which is why clot prevention is a standard part of surgical care.

Clot risk stays elevated for days after surgery

Illustrative — the danger window continues after discharge, which is why take-home units matter for high-risk patients.

Common use cases

Where DVT prevention devices support circulation

  • Intraoperative and sedated patients
  • PACU and 23-hour observation units
  • Patients recovering from surgery with restricted mobility
  • High-risk patients and travelers — take-home units available

Why it's no cost to your facility

You get the products. We handle the billing.

Surgery centers usually can't bill insurance for medical equipment like compression devices — they aren't set up or licensed for it. We are.

We provide the equipment as DME and manage the insurance side, so your facility protects patients with no billing and no paperwork on your end.
